Africa
is yet to recover from colo-imperial trampling, Seasons in and out the spate
remains same. If democracy ever meant anything, it is the continual subjugation
and exploitation of Africa through constitutional or official states
institutions.
What
America, Britain, France, Germany and European Union (EU) defined as democracy
was not properly interpreted in context by past and present African nationalist
leaders. The conspiracy in that definition has actually witnessed policy
application succinctly. Democracy without justice or human and or social
welfare is nothing but an accomplished gestapocracy in the 21st
century, the general mandate, backed by governments of tyrants in the
international community. Economic development, infrastructural aids and
assistance, investment opportunities (promises), military alliance and
interventions are characteristics of this imperial conspiracy towards Africa.
The United Nations has apported itself an international agency to safeguard,
sovereign nations, protect international law and human rights, what have we not
seen in Central Africa Republic (CAR), Egypt, Nigeria, South Sudan, Democratic
Republic of Congo (DRC), Mali, Eritrea and Somalia. Some measure of confidence
is established here, which is what is applicable and obtainable in
Euro-Asiatic, and Latin – Caribbean countries, democracy is a mystery to
Africans in Africa. History has samples of how nations of these regions have
weaned each other and interacted. These imperial powers are systematic about
the fate of Africa, all possible and known political technology are
consistently deployed to achieve their aims or policy objectives. For example
in the 1884-5 Berlin conference and the treaty signed by these powers, Africa
has been hidden in caves of moral conspiracy and institutional illusion.
Contemporary political system in Republic of South Africa (S.A), provides’ confidential
clue to these analyses. South Africans (blacks) are subjects to racist dictated
economy and politics of external domination through constitutional manipulation
in alliance to sectional interest. The 21st century has witnessed a
systematic conquest of Africa by the imperial master on Africans and their
conspiracy of international sanctions against terrorist organizations they
sponsored, trained and armed their personnel. We shall ask this question, what
are the French troops doing in Mali-, Libya and Central African Republic [CAR]?
And why are there resistance forces against such external intrusion into these
countries despite the acclaimed democratic government and international
recognition of sovereignty.
As
for Libya, a maghrebian territory
under external domination of France in early 20th century, it
emergence as an independent nation and as a country facing terrorist
misconstruction deserve reference to her history.
Libya
a former province of the Ottoman Empire in the nineteenth century fell to
Italian sovereignty or conquest on October 1911. Italian expansionist policy
warranted it conquest, because of her lost of Tunisia to France in 1881.
Before
then imagine this conspiracy among these powers, in 1902 when France and
Britain were approaching an agreement amongst themselves on Morocco and Egypt,
both gave Italy a free hand in Libya. Though Italian occupation lasted for
while (1911-14), the first world war (1914-18), witnessed Italy’s defeat by the
allied power of Britain and France and the formation of League of Nations.
France became the new external power dominating Libya and other North African
countries after the first and second world wars.
Before
the arrival of Ottoman, Italian and French occupation forces or influence in
Libya, there existed independent (or African democratic) systems there to
present it a sovereign nation. From the explanations provided we can see that
Britain, France and Italy (so called) contemporary democratic countries did not
respect Libyan democracy when they conspired in support of Italian conquest in
Libya. More examples and analyses would deprive this piece of professional
analytical competence. Rather case histories like Mali – and Central Africa
Republic [CAR] serves coherent points to the one mentioned above. The Mali Empire
of Mansa Musa was famous for gold and other economic values need in Europe in
the early fourteenth century. Precisely on his pilgrimage to Mecca, Mansa Musa
instigated a world economic recession in gold because of his extravagancies in
monopoly. This posthumously attracted French conquest and occupation of Mali,
after his death and disintegration of that empire. Therefore the constant
presence of France (troops) in Republic of Mali today is in pursuance of that
historic imperialist policy of annexation and conquest in scarch of cheap raw
materials and market for her product using Mali as a sphere of influence
against other European powers.
Resistance
forces in Mali (Taureg) in the 21st
century attack French troops and investment, even to the point of attacking
French installed African leaders to protect French economic and political
interest in the region even without popular (or people) consent, though they
claim to have conducted elections.
If
so why are the tauregs still fighting
in Mali. Central African Republic [CAR] according to history was formerly a
distant province of the Malian empire. Today the French government is having
active military operation there for similar policy objective as in Mali. This
military operation opposes civilian safety and development in the country. That
is the major reason for incessant armed revolution against French backed
governments e.g the seleka rebels, balaka
rebels, Taureg and anti-balaka
forces, often engaging each on the whims of religion and ethnicity this is the
democratic illusion Africa specifically is facing.
Automatically
that provides clarity for us to examine the power and policy of external forces
in Africa and how it enhances absolute democratic illusion, this means peace
for Africa and development is obsolete or merely impossible.
